WELCOME LETTER:

Dear Fathers and Brothers of the Palmetto Presbytery,

The Session of Faith Presbyterian Church, Cheraw, is excited to welcome and host you for our upcoming Presbytery meeting on Thursday, April 26^th. We will have refreshments ready for you to enjoy in the morning in our Fellowship Hall. A catered lunch of roast beef with gravy and delicious sides will be served at 1:00 and will cost $8 per person.

Faith Presbyterian Church is located at 900 State Road in Cheraw, which is located at the crossroads of US-1, US-52 and SC Hwy 9 in northeastern Chesterfield County.

• If you’re coming from the Greater Columbia area, take US-1 North from Camden all the way to Cheraw. Coming into town, you’ll take a left near CVS onto Jersey Street and take Jersey until it ends at State Road, where you’ll turn left and find the church just ahead on your right. (Columbia to Cheraw: 1.5 hours)
• If you’re coming from the other direction (Florence and the other side of Florence), take US-52 from Florence through Society Hill (slow down and watch your speed) and into Cheraw. US-52 will join US-1 just south of Cheraw and you’ll take a left near CVS onto Jersey Street and take Jersey until it ends at State Road, where you’ll turn left and find the church just ahead on your right. (Florence to Cheraw: 50-55 min.)
• If you’re taking SC Hwy 9 across Chesterfield County (from the Lancaster/Pageland area), turn left onto State Road just past WalMart and follow State Road for a mile or so until you see the church on your left.

When you arrive, you may park anywhere you’d like. Registration will be just inside the main front doors of the church. Refreshments and lunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall, which is at the other end of the church bldg. We will have rooms available for committees, so just ask when you sign in and we’ll direct you toward the available rooms.

Cheraw is a beautiful, historic town (1768). If anyone wants to stick around after Presbytery for a brief tour of the town, I’ll be happy to lead such a tour. We have one of the nicest old churches in the state (Old St. David’s Church, 1770), so just let me know at lunch and stick around afterward and I’ll be happy to show you our town.

Dear friends, the Shepherding Committee requests that all churches in the Palmetto Presbytery please bring your Sessional Records Thursday, January 26. to Presbytery.

Also, please come join us from 7:45 AM until 8:45 AM for prayer just before Presbytery at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. Our greatest need in our Presbytery and in Christ’s Church today is revival. The problem is not the world today. The problem is we are a prayerless and disobedient Church. Every revival in Scripture and in history has always been preceded by God’s leaders and God’s people desperately crying out in prayer. Please come join us Thursday morning, January 26, beginning at 7:45 AM to pray for the glory of the Lord Jesus in our Presbytery and Christ’s Church.

Dear Fathers and Brethren in Palmetto Presbytery,
        Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!  We look forward to hosting Palmetto Presbytery on Thursday, October 27, 2011.  You are invited to a time of prayer beginning at 8:00.  The  meeting begins with a worship service at 9:00, followed by the business of the day.
        Lunch will consist of chicken and sausage pilau, string beans, marinated slaw, rolls, and dessert.  The price will be $8.00 per person.
